On Monday nights the I-Beam, normally a disco, featured live performances
by popular local rock bands.
We opened for Silvertone, with Chris Isaak before he started peforming
under his own name.
The local rock scene in San Francisco was very competitive.
We held our own; the crowd was not real enthusiastic, but not hostile either;
respectful, even.
This was the second time we played the I-Beam; the first was
BELCH 'N' BOOGIE in 1980.
This was also the first time John Selby joined us on stage.
As the poster indicates,
we played a number of songs including "Rape and Seduction",
which was later re-titled "Escape in Seduction" but ultimately
did not become a permanent part of our repertory.
Personnel:
- Matthew McQueen, lead vocal
- Tony Kramedas, vocal
- Tom Gschwind, violin, vocal
