Steve McDowell sang and played saxophone with Automatic Pilot from late 1980 and for most of 1981.

He also sang with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus.

Steve lived in the houseold of Automatic Pilot member Tony Kramedas and playwright C. D. Arnold, for whom he later served as caregiver during Arnold's last days.

Steve has since passed away.
